A large, characterful first-floor flat set in a wonderfully peaceful location on the banks of the River Black Water, surrounded by the mountains and scenery of the Scottish Highlands. Breakfast provisions are included, and guests can enjoy beautiful views, free off-road parking and the convenience of an on-site pub serving food.

 

The property is close to Ben Wyvis and ideally placed for exploring the North Coast 500, making it a great choice for families, groups of friends, walkers and travellers looking for adventure in the Highlands.

 

The building dates back to 1850, when it was originally built as a hunting lodge for the local laird. Today, it offers spacious accommodation with plenty of traditional Highland character and makes an excellent base from which to discover some of the most spectacular landscapes in Scotland.

The main bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room.

 

There is a further bedroom with two single beds, which leads through to another bedroom containing two additional single beds. The inner bedroom also has access to an en-suite shower room. Guests should therefore be aware that access to the furthest bedroom is through the adjoining twin room.

 

The spacious lounge provides plenty of room for everyone to relax together and includes a leather three-seater sofa, a two-seater sofa and a comfortable armchair. There is also a dining table and chairs, sideboard and television.

 

A separate fully fitted kitchen provides everything needed for a self-catering stay.

 

The property has full heating and hot water throughout, making it a comfortable Highland retreat at any time of year.

 

Riverside Setting

 

Guests are welcome to enjoy the rear grounds, which lead down towards the banks of the River Black Water. It is a lovely place to sit, listen to the river and take in the surrounding mountain scenery after a day exploring the Highlands.

We now use coverless duvets throughout the property. These are fully washed after every guest stay, helping us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and providing every guest with a fresh sleeping environment.
