Breathtaking Northern Lights and Full Moon: A Celestial Dance on September 23 2026

On 23 September 2026, the Northern Lights appeared above River Black Water Holiday Lets in Inchbae, near Garve, while a bright full moon lit the Highland sky. We captured this collection of photographs looking out across the landscape that surrounds our holiday homes.

Every view of the Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, is different, and these images offer a glimpse of the night as we saw it. Explore the gallery below to see the lights and full moon over our corner of the Scottish Highlands.
